Substitute School Nurse
This is a substitute position within the Student Support department reporting to the Director of Student Support, Head Nurse, and Division Head (Lower, Middle or Upper School).
Major Responsibilities:
Administer basic health services to support the physical and emotional wellbeing of students following confidentiality policies and regulations.
- Provides medical care and services to students according to physician prescribed medical care and treatment orders.
- Confers with students, parents, and teachers regarding medical treatment.
- Monitors, aids, and provides appropriate care to students with acute and chronic health conditions or disabilities such as diabetes, epilepsy, etc.
- Responds to emergency medical situations; performs first aid as needed, coordinates with local health agencies and medical treatment facilities as necessary.
- Creates and maintains documentation of all treatment and medical services activity consistent with school policy and state law.
- Follows confidentiality and privacy rules and regulations.

- Be available to substitute in the Lower or Middle/Upper School nursing office when needed.
- Have attained qualification as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of PA, active and unrestricted
