Job Title: SubstituteResident Support Professional

ROLE SUMMARY
As a Substitute Resident Support Specialist (OC-RSP) at the Mental Wellness Center (MWC), you will be an integral part of our Sub RSP Pool, ensuring continuous support during unexpected callouts Sunday through Saturday, 11 am – 7 pm and 7 pm – 11 am. You will be a crucial component in providing care and supervision to residents in our various facilities, catering to individuals diagnosed with serious mental illness. Your role involves responding promptly to open shifts, contributing to the well-being of our clients through compassionate care, and adhering to facility protocols and licensing regulations.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Prompt Response: Respond to department leadership within the hour of an open shift announcement. Open shifts include Sunday through Saturday 11 am-7pm and 7pm-11 am.
- Role Commitment: Agree to work a minimum of 1 shift per month or attend retraining monthly.
- Provide Care and Supervision: Ensure the safety and comfort of residents through compassionate care and supervision in adult residential facilities.
- Activities of Daily Living: Assist residents with daily activities, including medication oversight, following protocols, licensing regulations, and guidelines.
- Individual Service Plans: Tailor care to specific client needs and preferences based on individual service plans.
- Team Collaboration: Albeit, a substitute team member, this role is a part of the larger RSP team, thus functioning as a cohesive team member, assisting colleagues to deliver optimal care is key.
- Monitoring: Continuously monitor client activity, food intake, functional and psychosocial status, taking appropriate actions for well-being.
- Status Reporting: Immediately report changes in client status to department leadership for prompt attention and support.
- Documentation: Accurately document client status changes, including physical, medication, psychosocial, and behavioral aspects.
- Rehabilitation Services: Thoroughly document services provided to clients, per department leadership advisement.
- Adherence to Guidelines: Strictly adhere to guidelines outlined in the employee handbook, including dress code, code of conduct, and scheduling policies.
- Other Duties: Perform additional duties as assigned to support facility and resident needs.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Consistent and Open Availability to fulfill substitute responsibilities.
- Clear a criminal history check.
- Basic First Aid & CPR Certification: Possess current or attain Basic First Aid and CPR certification post-hire through MWC.
- Effective Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with clients, responsible party members, and health professionals.
- Service Plan Execution: Capability to read, understand, and implement client service plans, documenting activities accurately.
- Proficiency in record-keeping software and Outlook email, and Google sheets.
- MWC requires proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 and highly encourages staying up to date.
- Flexibility to work Sunday through Saturday 4, 8, and 16-hour shifts, including day shifts and overnights.

SALARY
The salary hourly base pay range for this role is between $22 to $25.
