HOURS: High/Middle School, 7:30 am - 2:30 pm
Cayuga Heights Elementary, 8:10 am - 3:30 pm
A candidate for a Substitute Registered Nurse position must provide proof of valid NYS RN nursing license, AED and CPR training and must be fingerprinted per the New York State Education Department. https://www.nysed.gov/educator-integrity/fingerprint-frequently-asked-questions-faqs
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages and assesses student health and the need for emergency medication administration
- Provides direct care to students
- Promotes a healthy school environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work as a member of a team
- Diligent record keeping skills
- Provides liaison services between school personnel, family and health care professionals
- Maintains student confidentiality and adheres to FERPA/HIPPA regulations
- Performs related duties as required or assigned by administration
