Workforce solutions has a deep-rooted history in the federally funded Job Corps program. Young adults ages 16-24 receive job training, academic instruction and important life skills through our Job Corps Center operations that prepare and connect them to a career pathway that is in demand and provides opportunities for advancement. Responsibilities
- Adequately prepares for classroom instruction
- Keeps students motivated and interested in the program and ensures students set realistic attainable goals
- Maintains a high degree of discipline within the classroom
- Accounts for students when they are under your responsibility
- Maintains accurate student records and files
- Adheres to all DOL, Company, Center and department guidelines
- Adheres to the guidelines determined by outside agencies
- Develops corrective action plans for students with deficiencies
- Monitors statistical date related to GED test and scores
- Develops instructional plans using TABE diagnostic for those students who do not meet the requirement
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Possession of, or eligibility for, temporary teaching certification in the State in which the center is located
