Job Description
Position: Our Substitute Cooks work at our 6 centers throughout the county providing homemade breakfast, lunch and snacks for both infants/toddlers and preschool age children. We have preset menus that are easy to follow and we provide regular training on procedures and required paperwork in order to meet the mandates of the Child Care Food Program. Shifts are typically 5 hours in the morning, approximately 7:30 - 12:30. Our Cooks are part of the classroom team and work together to provide a positive mealtime experience. We adjust the menu to address food allergies.
The Substitute Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning at the assigned Early Childhood Program Center. Shifts are generally in the afternoon and run 1.5 - 2.5 hours. Basic cleaning responsibilities include, vacuuming, disinfecting the bathrooms, sanitizing classroom and wiping down tables and chairs. Shifts are after the school closes, generally 3:00pm. We provide all of the cleaning supplies.
Our Early Childhood Programs support the development and growth of children and their families by providing quality child care, parent/child experiences, parenting education and individualized family support services. We provide homemade meals daily for the children in a family style setting with Teachers sitting and eating with the children.
Variable Part-Time Position: Tuesday - Friday and On Call
Salary Range: $15.50 - $16.00 per hour

Requirements:
· High School Diploma or equivalency
· One-year of food service or housekeeping experience preferred
· Health Screening, proof of current negative TB test, immunizations req. by Community Care Licensing (pertussis and measles) and current influenza shot
· Valid Calif. Driver's License and proof of current auto. Insurance coverage
