We are seeking a Substance Use Counselor (LADC) to work in our Connections & Referral Unit. As a Substance Use Counselor in one of our 24-hour facilities, you will be responsible for assuring high quality direct care for clients going through detox and withdrawal management. This position isfull-time working during the day Monday-Friday.
What you will be doing
- Observe and monitor general physical, emotional, mental condition of client at time of admission and discharge.
- Document all admissions and discharges, observations, evaluations, client care, and discharge summaries.
- Accurately chart all medications, physical, emotional and mental health status.
- Chart all referrals, contacts with outside agencies and significant others, and significant events involving client.
- Evaluate referral sources for client upon discharge.
- Evaluate need to de-escalate client, establish restrictions, or use seclusion room.
- Complete chemical health observations with impressions and recommendations.
- Complete chemical education one-on-one or group facilitation as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in a Human Service related field
- Active MN Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) license

Starting wage $25 to $28 per hour dependent on experience.
