Job description

Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! MCCS is a comprehensive program that supports and enhances the quality of life for Marines, their families, and others in the Marine Corps Community. Required Degree: Must possess a master's degree from a college or university with a program nationally accredited in: social work or psychology, marriage and family therapy, licensed professional counselor, or in a related behavioral health field.

Required Licensure: Highest licensure by a State or National regulatory board that authorizes independent clinical practice that is current, valid, unrestricted and in good standing in at least one of the following: clinical social work, licensed marriage and family therapist, licensed professional counselor, or clinical psychologist that meet the DoD requirements. Must provide a photocopy of licensure with their application.

Required Experience: Tier III must have engaged in at least two years post licensure, that includes at least 2,000 hours post licensure or 4,000 hours post graduate degree, full-time clinical experience in a clinical setting. Two of these years must include documented post-licensure clinical experience in substance use disorder treatment.

Must have at least 2 years of post-licensure experience as a clinical supervisor of professional clinical providers.

Required Certification: Certification in SUBSTANCE ABUSE (Alcohol and Drug Counselor II or state equivalent) is required at time of hire.

  • Must have expert knowledge of the Marine Corps SAP, and other related program concepts, principles, techniques, practices, laws, regulations, policies, and precedents is essential to enable the manager to plan, organize, administer, coordinate, and evaluate subject programs as well as other behavioral risk program elements for which responsibility is assigned. Expert knowledge of Marine Corps SUBSTANCE ABUSE policies, directives and regulations. Ability to make complex decisions or recommendations significantly changing, interpreting, or developing important public policies or programs. ill be required to obtain a clearance at the Tier 3 level to satisfy IT Level II designation access and enter information to the Alcohol and Drug Management Information Tracking System (ADMITS), if access is to ADMITS is required to fulfill the requirements of this position. Appointment and continued employment is subject to a favorable adjudication of the security investigation. 

NOTE: This position is identified as a Test Designated Position (TDP). The incumbent is subject to random drug testing because duties must be performed with a high level of productivity, reliability and judgment to prevent adversely affecting personnel safety, and causing risk/damage to government property, and/or significant adverse impact to day-to-day operations.

  • This position may eligible occasional for telework, as determined by local level policy. This position is not eligible for full-time remote work.
