Description
Summary:
The responsibility of the Substance Abuse Counselor (CADC) at Bobby E. Wright Comprehensive Behavioral Health Center is to assess the consumers needs, development and implement an individual treatment plan, and monitor the progress.
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments
• Prepare consumers for change utilizing motivation interviewing (MI) techniques
• Develop treatment plans
• Monitor and document change processes
• Facilitate discharge consume rand summarize discharge
• Document services provided
• Conduct treatment plan reviews
• Provide case management to consumers to insure continuity of care
• Maintaining weekly supervision appointments
• Maintaining work performance standards of the agency
• Submit all billing data daily
• Conduct process and didactic group therapy with mentally ill substance users and document accordingly
• Provide individual therapy and document accordingly
• Increase competencies by reading and attending appropriate trainings.

Qualifications
Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in a human services related field;
• CADC (Required)
• Experience in substance use preferred.
• Must be service oriented, empathetic and able to interact and develop rapport with a diversified population;
