Subcontracts Assistant

Fibertek, Inc. is a leading developer of electro-optical systems for the aerospace community, with key contributions to earth-sensing, laser communications, and lidar sensors for NASA, DoD, and commercial customers. We are seeking a motivated entry-level Subcontracts Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will perform direct daily operations supporting the subcontracts department with extensive training and guidance.

Your Job:
The Subcontracts Assistant is responsible for supporting subcontracts and contracts personnel and overall department functions. This position is entry-level with extensive growth potential into the contracts/subcontracts career path. You will join an agile small business that has a dedicated team of technology and business leaders with 40 years of success behind them.
With extensive training and guidance, your role will include:

• Process subcontractor invoices and maintain accurate status reporting;
• Process subcontract closeouts and maintain accurate status reporting;
• Monitoring subcontract Government Property Administration status and documentation;
• Perform administrative duties as requested;
• Entry of transaction data into Costpoint;
• Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent and less than 1-year of relevant experience;
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in English;
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously;
• Possess strong organizational and time management skills;
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite;
• Working knowledge of Costpoint financial system;
• Must be self-motivated, detailed oriented, and be able to work with appropriate level of guidance and supervision and as part of a team; and
• U.S. Citizenship required.
