Studio Assistant and Archivist
Artist’s studio looking for an experienced part-time assistant in Highland Park. If interested, please email with your resume and a brief introduction of your skills and qualifications.
Looking for a hard-working assistant with superb communication skills and archiving experience. Must possess strong organizational abilities with a priority in task and time management. Experience corresponding with collectors, curators and gallerists, and a working knowledge of the art world is preferred. Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Mac Pages and Keynote desired.
Some duties include:
- Updating and organizing artworks archive
- Maintaining supply inventory
- Maintaining source material collection
- Research on topics relevant to the paintings
- Scanning slides and collecting source images
- Streamlining and editing posts and newsletters
Position involves working one-on-one with the artist in a creative studio environment.
Hours are 1-2 days a week, 10am-5pm
Pay commensurate with experience, starting at $20/hr
