The basics of this position:

Provide support for daily functions of the Art Annex/Ceramics Studio.

What you'll do:

  • Monitoring students in the Art Annex and Ceramics Studio. General duties include mixing clay, mixing glazes, cleaning the studio, loading kilns, general studio maintenance of equipment, and assisting with student questions.

Education, experience, and other requirements:

Must be a registered St. Louis Community College student prior to applying for a Student Worker position.
Must maintain student status during employment.
Taken and Advanced Ceramics course with St. Louis Community College.
The practical knowledge and understanding of how a ceramics studio functions and operates on daily basis.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge and practice of mixing clay, electric and gas kiln operation, and proper ability to mix glaze.
