Extern Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic, responsible extern to join our growing organization. In this position, you will be expected to learn the technical ins-and-outs of our daily routines and procedures across three critical areas in the Enterprise Development Department. You will focus on learning how our organization runs and can be expected to gain valuable technical insight that can further your experience in your chosen technical career field.
Extern Duties and Responsibilities
- Participate in all phases of the agile development lifecycle.
- Compile inventory of existing documentation and create procedures to process routine maintenance activities.
- Gain hands-on experience with processing Healthcare EDI X12 transactions, such as 274, 834, 835, and 837 in our EDI team.
- Assist in database maintenance tasks including routine checks, troubleshooting, and performance tuning in our Database team.
- Work on real-world projects to design, develop, and test custom applications aimed at optimizing business processes in our Development team.
- Must be currently enrolled in, high school, college, or university.
- Must be between 16 and 26 years of age.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas.
- Be available for the entire summer break, flexible hours, Monday - Friday (with the exception of planned vacation, or needed days off to be discussed with department)
