ABOUT KU SCHOOL OF MEDICINE-WICHITA
• More than 2,500 medical students have graduated from the KU Wichita campus since 1974. And even more have enhanced their education here in one of our 15 accredited residency and fellowship programs. You can find our graduate physicians across the United States serving their communities in fields of anesthesiology, family medicine, internal medicine, OB-GYN, orthopaedics, pediatrics, psychiatry, radiology, surgery and other specialties.
• The Wichita Biomedical Campus, breaking ground in 2024, is a collaboration with the University of Kansas, Wichita State University and WSU Tech. More than 3,000 health profession students will begin studying in downtown Wichita in the fall of 2026.
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT OF ACADEMIC & STUDENT AFFAIRS
• ASA is a "one-stop shop" for all our medical students. We collaborate with campus employees to support and oversee all services students might need related to career development, academic progression and advising, coaching, and professional and personal development. We enhance students' experiences through a wide variety of basic Student Services, wellness programming and social events.Job Description:
This position is responsible for scheduling and enrolling all medical students, administrative management of internal/external databases, and serving as a liaison with students, faculty, and departmental administrators in the School of Medicine.

This position will pay $23.32 per hour.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
1-2 years of experience with database or task management systems
1-2 years of experience working in an academic setting
Preferred Qualifications
Enrollment experience in a higher education institution
Highest levels of organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail are critical
Ability to consistently deliver superior customer service
Ability to comply with instructions, procedures, standards, and policies
Ability to work a flexible schedule in order to meet student needs
Description of Job Duty
Coordinates scheduling of courses for M3 and M4 students.
Assist students with elective availability.
Prepare and send schedule reports (rosters) to hospitals and department
administrators.
Maintain accuracy of the course catalog.
Verifies that all students have met graduation requirements.
Ensures each clerkship has submitted grades by deadlines.
Verifies accuracy of official transcripts.
Answer student inquiries and resolve problems related to enrollment.
Provide educational guidance and assistance to students by arranging
schedules and recommending courses.
Maintain accuracy of information in the student database.
Build and administer the lotteries for the M1/M2 SER weeks and the M3
clerkship schedules.
Maintain all SER week course information (overview sheets, enrollment
dates, enrollment limits, assigned faculty, and evaluations).
Ensures SER week student evaluations are completed.
Serve as proctor for the National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME)
subject exams and the United States Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE)
Steps 1, 2, and 3.
Creates and maintains proctoring schedule for NBME subject exams.
Coordinates financial aid workshops.
Review applications, eligibility and coordinate scheduling for all visiting
students using the Visiting Student Learning Opportunity (VSLO) program.
Coordinates relocation scholarships, technology reimbursements, and other
scholarships.

Compensation Statement:
The pay range listed for this position is determined by our compensation program using market data and salary benchmarking. A combination of factors is considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, education, experience and training, qualifications relative to the requirements of the position, and funding. At the University of Kansas Medical Center, a reasonable estimate for the starting pay range will be the minimum to midpoint of the posted range, taking into account the combination of factors listed above.
