Special Payroll Research
At UConn Health, the Genetics and Genome Sciences Department seeks to find a Student for a Research position.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE:
Knowledge of molecular biology
Previous experience in molecular biology is preferable.
Some Drosophila melanogaster (fruit flies) experience.
DUTIES:
Drosophila melanogaster breeding and virgin collection.
Life span studies.
Maintenance of fly stocks.
Routine duties include lab maintenance, cleaning, and solution preparation.
MINIMAL QUALIFICATION:
Must be a current college student graduating with a Bachelors Degree in May 2024. Preferred fields Biology or Genetics.
SCHEDULE:
Up to 40 hours per week, flexibility is required, and some weekends
HOURLY RATE:
$18-20 per hour
