The role is to assist in the development and implementation of testing and commissioning programs, policies, procedures and initiatives that will support the testing and commissioning of Power Plant Projects.
This internship is part-time hours during the school year, and full-time hours during school breaks. This position is 100% on-site at our Power Plant/Irvington, with no option for remote work.
Position-Related Responsibilities
- Assist with control system documentation (i.e. loop diagrams and network drawings).
- Assist with creating, designing and document testing and commissioning processes and procedures
- Assist with developing and preparing testing and commission documentation
- Assist with gathering and reviewing completed testing and commissioning documentation
- Assist with archival of completed testing and commissioning documentation
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Must be actively enrolled as a student at an accredited college or university and pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Control Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Trade students.
- Must have an expected graduation date of May 2025 or later
- Must have a high level of interpersonal skills and the ability to protect highly sensitive and confidential information
- Must be able to meet deadlines
- Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills
- Must possess functional knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment
Requirements
- Must be able to work up to 20 hours per week during regular business hours; and up to 40 hours per week during summer and school breaks depending on the business needs.
Student Interns must maintain the required hours for full-time student status, good academic standing at their college or university, as defined by the college or university and the GPA required for graduation by their college or university. - Failure to maintain full-time status, good academic standing and/or the required GPA will result in Student Interns being deemed ineligible for participation in this program.
- Scheduling of work hours and assignments should be made taking into consideration that Student Interns are students first and employees second.
- Travel to and from Downtown Headquarters and Irvington campus as needed
- Must possess a valid driver's license and the ability to maintain it.
