Job Description
AECOM's Orange, California Bridge Design group is seeking to enhance their team with a Structural Engineer IV - Bridge Design in a part-time role.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team
- Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
- Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others.
- Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
- Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
- Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package.
- Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
- Prepares technical specification sections.
- Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
Minimum Requirements :
- BA/BS + 6+ years of demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- PE license in the state of California or has the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
- 8-10 years of highway bridge structures design project experience with California projects and standards.
- Knowledgeable of standard engineering practices, techniques and applicable Codes including AASHTO and Caltrans
- Previous work experience in bridge design
- Proficiency in OpenRoads, SAP Bridge Structural Analysis software.
- Experience with OpenBridge modeler a plus
- Project management skills, including proposal preparation.
- Excellent verbal communication and writing skills, including technical report writing.
- Knowledgeable of standard engineering practices, techniques and applicable Codes.
- Knowledge of current industry-standard structural modeling software tools
- Master's degree a plus

- Offered rate of compensation (California locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The hourly range for this part-time position is $47. - $81. per hour
