Structural Concrete Estimator / Project Manager

Our company is 45 years young and seeking a Construction Estimator of Concrete, Project Manager/Structural Concrete Estimator to join our 100+ full time team. RHCI specializes in Concrete and Masonry for large retail centers (San Clemente Outlet Mall), high end retail (Chanel Beverly Hills, South Coast Plaza), theatres, hotels, manufacturing facilities, hospitals, schools, auto dealerships and much more!

We are looking for a thorough Construction estimator to calculate possible costs and gains of construction projects. You will collect and analyze data according to a series of useful variables. The ideal candidate will be very comfortable with numbers and analytical. You must have great attention to detail and excellent communication skills. The goal is to provide the company with accurate information that will help in operations and strategic planning.

The ideal candidate will oversee multiple projects from bidding to completion. Must have the ability to work independently, but effectively communicate with senior management and clients. RHCI is located in a 26,000. SF building in the city of Orange, with a large fleet of newer trucks, construction equipment, tools and in house roll off service for our clients.

The perfect candidate must have the following skills:

1. 1+ years of experience ESTIMATING STRUCTURAL CONCRETE WORK

2. Strong computer skills with Window/Office products including Outlook/Excel/Word

3. Good oral and written communication skills

4. Be able to work with city inspectors and clients

5. 1+ years of experience ON SCREEN TAKE OFF OR SIMILAR SOFTWARE

6. Prefer Associates or higher degree

Responsibilities

• Acquire understanding of the requirements of the project/program at hand
• Select metrics to produce valid estimates
• Visit sites, warehouses and other venues to gather essential information
• Review documents or consult experts to collect all necessary data
• Analyze data and produce forecasts
• Perform risk analysis
• Labor, material and equipment break down
• Prepare detailed reports or bids for submission to appropriate parties
• Select advantageous deals by evaluating offers and quotes
• Foster relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, architects etc.)

Requirements

• Proven experience as construction estimator
• Basic understanding of accounting and project management concepts
• Deep understanding of research methodology, data analysis and estimation metrics
• Comfortable with numbers and technology
• Excellent knowledge of ready blueprints
• Great attention to detail
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
• Well-organized and reliable
• BS/BA in engineering, construction science or relevant field a plus
• Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) or other qualification will be a plus

Salary: $70,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
