Job Description
PSSI is looking for a Structural Concrete Detailer. The ideal candidate is excited about tackling the most complex Structural Concrete projects. This individual has a strong understanding of plan reading, specifically as it relates to Structural Concrete work, is eager to think outside the box and continues to push the boundaries of how to build, including any new technologies. Candidate should be proficient in both CAD and Revit.
Responsibilities:
- Orientate the project per the supplied coordinate points.
- Detail Structural Concrete elements for project utilizing both 2D CAD and 3D Rivet files.
- Participate in BIM coordination meeting per GC requirements. Provide updated model for all meetings.
- Generate RFIs related to conflicts and/or missing info in the construction documents as it relates to cast in place concrete scope.
- Review and coordinate items embedded within Structural Concrete to include embeds, anchor bolts and other items as defined by PSSI’s scope.
- Develop concrete line submittal drawings for review and approval of project design team. Any dimensions that are not explicitly shown on the contract drawings must be clouded. Upon final review by the design team, these dimensions along with any other changed dimensions through the review process must be RFI’d by the PE to be formally incorporated into the contract drawings.
- Detail project formwork based on company owned formwork systems. (Project Specific)
- Work with the project Superintendent to develop logistical and sequencing drawings when needed.
- Coordination with the rebar detailers, when needed.
- Identify and discuss with the PE/superintendent about constructability issues and/or opportunities (not just conflicts in the drawings).
Skills and/or Experience Requirements:
- Strong knowledge and experience with AutoCAD and Revit.
- Knowledge of concrete construction methods and practices.
- Ability to collaborate with and support a team to meet specific project goals.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time, salary position.
