Job Description
Summary: Seeking a Stress Analysis Engineer with experience in airframe stress analysis and proficiency in engineering design definition.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering; Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering is preferred
Master's Degree in Engineering as described above is preferred
Minimum 2 years of airframe stress analysis experience
Must have experience with NASTRAN
Experience with at least one analysis pre/post-processor, including but not limited to: PATRAN, HyperWorks, Femap
Detailed finite element analysis (FEA) experience focused on metallic, laminated composite, castings, forgings, additive, elastomeric, or other precision components
Experience using computer aided design or drafting (CAD) tools for pre and post analysis iteration
Proficiency with engineering design definition including 2D/3D modeling, requirement capture, and specification development
Preferred Skills:
Experience working with Collier's HyperX/Hypersizer stress analysis tool
Experience working with SLIM/Vision
Experience with Hyperworks/Hypermesh
Experience with CATIA V5/V6/3DX
Working knowledge of COMPOSITES
Working knowledge of GD&T requirements
Proficiency with analytical tools or codes such as Mathcad, MATLAB, Python, Excel Visual Basic for executing custom in-house macros or results processing techniques
Job Responsibilities:
Satisfy various performance requirements such as static strength, stiffness, stability margin etc.
Create detailed Finite Element Models (FEM) of components and assemblies using appropriate modeling practices
Support manufacturing and testing of components and sub-systems by interpreting technical data and assisting in product improvements
Review detail, assembly and installation design definition to ensure compliance with requirements
Participate in a cross-functional team environment completing objectives depending on the program lifecycle assigned.
Pay Details: $58.00 to $78.00 per hour
