FlexStaff is seeking an early career engineer with a focus on Stress Analysis to join our client's Electro-Mechanical Division team! Our client designs, develops and manufactures critical-function machining solutions for the United States Navy and the commercial nuclear utility industry.
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
As a member of our Stress Analysis team, you will have excellent potential for growth as you perform detailed analyses using FEA and other analytical methods critical to the overall success of our products.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analysis of pressure vessels, bolted joints, impellers, bearings, rotors, stators, and other structural components in the EMD product lines
- ASME Code, Section III and Section VIII analysis and analysis to other pressure vessel and engineering codes
- Fracture mechanics analysis, fatigue analysis, and other advanced mechanical analysis of commercial and government nuclear grade equipment as well as commercial process equipment
REQUIREMENTS
- Four-year Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
- Strong proficiency with hand calculations for Stress Analysis and machine design
- FEA experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent computer skills including scripting and program troubleshooting
- Must be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance
- Thermal Stress Analysis experience a plus
- Commercial nuclear industry design and analysis experience a plus

Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
