Street Outreach Specialist/Case Manager - Manchester NH - Full Time

The Street Outreach Specialist/Case Manager/Drop-in Center Staff provides critical support to young adults in the Manchester, NH community that are experiencing homelessness or are at risk thereof. The Street Outreach Specialist/Case Manager/ Drop-in Center Staff will work on a small team of staff members, supporting young adults between the ages of 18-22 years old in the community and at the Waypoint Youth Resource Center Drop-in. The Outreach staff utilizes a Positive Youth Development approach, employs Harm Reduction strategies, and is Trauma-Informed. Case Management responsibilities include crisis intervention, pro-social activities, connections to partnering agencies and programs, as well as support with independent living skills. The Street Outreach Specialist/Case Manager/Drop-in Center Staff will outreach into the community and collaborate with various agencies and organizations to raise awareness of the homeless youth population as well as provide support in the Youth Resource Center Drop-in. Additional responsibilities include the ability to complete documentation, maintain files and provide intakes and assessments.
Position Minimum Requirements Include:
- 3 years of relevant experience (lived experience and expertise looked upon favorably)
- or a Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services related field.
- Experience with vulnerable populations, outreach, sexual health, mental health, and/or substance use preferred.
- The ability to work on a team as well as independently in the community.
- Good organizational skills, time management skills, and the ability to multi-task,
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, passionate about working with young adults,
- creative, innovative, bold, courageous, and brave.

Waypoint has been providing services to youth and young adults experiencing homelessness and housing instability for over 45 years in the Manchester NH area based on recognized needs in the community. Candidates will be asked to engage in criminal background and motor vehicle record checks and have auto insurance that meets agency standards.
