The Strategic Account Manager (Northeast) is responsible for cultivating valuable relationships with prospects, leads, and existing customers while leading commercial engagements for additive manufacturing parts and services. Your role as the Strategic Account Manager will enable you to own your future and help pave a path for businesses to redefine the next era of manufacturing.
The Strategic Account Manager (Northeast) is responsible for driving sales growth within the 3D printing industry within their territory by supporting clients and the sales team in all technical aspects of the sales pursuit process. This role requires a passion for listening, problem solving, and solution delivering. The ideal candidate should have relative technical experience in Additive Manufacturing, excellent communication skills, and a strong ability to operate autonomously in order to meet specific monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and profit goals.
The Strategic Account Manager (Northeast) will be supported by an exceptional team of application engineers, technical sales representatives, and a robust operations & quality team. Strategic Account Manager Responsibilities:
  • Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms.
  • Recommend products to customers, based on customers' needs and interests.
  • Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates.
  • Consult with clients after sales or contract signings to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support.
  • Prepare sales contracts and order forms.
  • Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales.
  • Perform administrative duties, such as preparing sales budgets and reports, keeping sales records, and filing expense account reports.
  • Contact regular and prospective customers to demonstrate products, explain product features, and solicit orders.
  • Develop, present, or respond to proposals for specific customer requirements, including request for proposal responses and industry-specific solutions.
  • Identify prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations and clubs, and attending trade shows and conferences.
  • Negotiate details of contracts and payments.
  • Prepare drawings, estimates, and bids that meet specific customer needs.
  • Meet or exceed weekly, quarterly, and annual financial quotas.
Strategic Account Manager Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree Preferred; Associate’s Degree Minimum
  • Minimum 4 years of strategic sales experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of advanced mathematical concepts
  • Excellent leadership skills, including team building and employee development
  • Advanced organizational skills
  • Experience drafting reports and collating data
  • Knowledge and experience with computer programs including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word, CRM software
  • Strong strategic and analytical thinking capability
  • Ability to analyze and interpret technical information
  • Ability to quickly assess situations, articulate expectations, and drive accountability
  • Demonstrated experience exceeding sales quotas with profitable revenue.
Salary Range $65,000-$75,000; OTE $155,000+
