Store Manager

Customer Service / Sales

• Greet customers, listen to their needs, and help find solutions
• Answer phones, ensuring messages are relayed
• Operate computer/cash register to complete sales transactions with accuracy
• Demonstrate a customer-first mentality
• Watch for loss prevention issues and advise management of any unusual activities. This includes identifying counterfeit cash.
• Rotate and stock inventory
• Maintain retail shelf label pricing
• Build displays; setting up & taking down shelves and fixtures
• Prepare store for daily opening and closing, including counting and reconciling register drawers
• Maintain store appearance by mopping, sweeping, and dusting. Maintain restroom cleanliness.
• Encourage add-on sale items
• Participate in retail store and commercial sales activities in order to achieve sales and profit goals
• Multitask, do a bit of everything around the store and be adaptable
• Assist in all store operations responsibilities as assigned by Store Manager or Assistant Manager
• Lift product weighing 10-20 lbs on a regular and frequent basis, 21-50 lbs on an occasional basis, and more than 50 lbs on an infrequent basis.

Technical

• Learn to repair smartphones, tablets, light fixtures, and other devices as needed. This includes batteries, screens, and other parts.
• Learn to cut and program automotive keys and replacement key fobs for vehicles.
• Replace watch batteries and car remote batteries.
• Test automotive electrical systems (alternator, starter, battery) and change vehicle batteries when required
• Be proficient in the operation of all test equipment.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations; wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Qualifications:

• Minimum H.S. diploma/equivalent. Preferred 6 months prior work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Customer service and sales oriented with high motivation
• Ability to a gain quick and solid understanding of the company's electronic retail and cross-referencing system
• Demonstrates technical skills and has the ability to work small parts and tools for phone and device repair.
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills and able to effectively manage confrontational situations in a controlled and courteous manner
• Must have the ability to accurately read gauges and work with hands
• Preferred ability to work between the Joliet and Bolingbrook location.
• Strong technical aptitude; a basic understanding of electronics.
• Competent with basic mathematical operations
• Lift product weighing 10-20 lbs on a regular and frequent basis, 21-50 lbs on an occasional basis, and more than 50 lbs on an infrequent basis.

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
