JOB SUMMARY
The Stock Handler is appointed to his/her position by the Supervisor, Receiving & Staging and is solely responsible to him/her. The Stock Handler is responsible for the accuracy of the inventory, staging components for the Production Department and general material movement within the warehouse. The Stock Handler also manually, by forklift or hand truck, unloads inbound deliveries and coordinates the shipment of Finished Goods to the Windsor Distribution Center. The Stock Handler is an Hourly position.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Performs various material handling duties in the facility, including but not limited to unloading deliveries in Receiving.
2. Ensures the accuracy of all counts.
3. Performs timely storage of received packaging material and produced finished goods.
4. Stacks skids or pallets in designated areas.
5. Picks stock by the oldest inventory first (FIFO).
6. Participates in maintaining inventory accuracy.
7. Performs accurate Adage software transactions relating to all material movement tasks.
8. Ensures compliance of established Company guidelines and policies (i.e., FDA, OSHA, cGDP, Safety).
9. Utilizes Adage to issue Production Orders.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Performs and assumes other duties and responsibilities, as may be required by the Supervisor, Receiving & Staging.
2. Supports the Winner’s Circle and BQS processes.
3. Picks Inventory Request Orders.
4. Assists in the coordination of all recyclable’s activities (pick-ups/shipments)
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
1. A high school graduate, or equivalent.
2. The knowledge and skills required for this position are typically acquired in 1-3 years of experience in a warehousing and distribution environment.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
1. Must have prior experience operating a forklift.
2. Must possess good mathematical aptitude (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
3. Must be able to convert pounds, ounces, kilos, grams and other liquid measurements.
4. Must be able to read and write business English.
5. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
6. Ability to learn and apply accrued knowledge of standard Production Department’s procedures.
7. Must possess general knowledge of GMP, OSHA, FDA and other related guidelines.
8. Must have some familiarity with basic data input in a Windows environment.
9. Must possess good organizational ability.
10. Willingness to accept other duties, as assigned.
11. Must possess the ability to develop and maintain an effective working relationship with internal and external customers, function as a team player, accept constructive criticism from management and comply with Company policies.
