SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
The Private Client/Press Operations Associate is responsible for efficiently managing stock operations, including organizing and tagging merchandise, packing/tracking shipments, receiving, and unpacking deliveries, maintaining stock room supplies, running errands, assisting with inventory management, and facilitating the handling of press loan items and jewelry maintenance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Stock Organization and Tagging:
- Keep stock organized and properly tagged to facilitate easy retrieval and accurate inventory tracking.
- Organize press loan tags for Private Client (PCLIENT) stock and ensure they are properly maintained and accounted for.
- Retag press loan returns that are PCLIENT stock as needed.
Jewelry Safe Management:
- Maintain the organization of the jewelry safe, categorizing items for easy identification and retrieval.
- Return jewelry to the appropriate area of the safe after it has been checked in from a press loan.
Shipping and Packing:
- Prepare shipments for both international and domestic delivery, ensuring items are securely packed and all necessary documentation is completed.
- When necessary, act as messenger service for local VIP and Press delivery.
- Track packages to monitor their status and ensure timely delivery.
Receiving Shipments:
- Unpack and receive shipments, including items from RITA and pull backs from stores, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Handle the unpacking and processing of press returns, both local deliveries and shipments.
Supply Management:
- Maintain a well-stocked packing supplies closet, replenishing items such as tissues, shopping bags, ribbon, window cases, and suede pouches as needed.
Inventory Support:
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counting activities to ensure accurate stock levels and minimize discrepancies.
- Report and follow up on all inventory discrepancies.
Daily Stock Room Tasks:
- Pick up stock room items each morning to ensure availability for daily operations.
- Help maintain stock back of house to mitigate damages and provide efficiency for selling and picking.
Sample Management:
- Return samples to the sample room following press loans and retrieve samples from different factory locations as needed.
- Transport apparel and jewelry to the appropriate area of the factory for polishing or repair for PRIVATE CLIENTs, as well as before sending them out on press loans.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications such as email, Microsoft Office, and inventory management software, or a willingness to learn these tools.
- High degree of integrity working with sensitive information. Professional demeanor, integrity, and a commitment to upholding company policies and standards.
- Recommended minimum of 2 years of stock experience, luxury retail preferred.
- Ability to effectively organize and manage various tasks simultaneously, including stock management, inventory control, and shipment handling.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate tagging, inventory counts, and documentation of merchandise.
- Experience or aptitude for providing exceptional customer service, particularly in addressing client inquiries and resolving issues related to shipments or merchandise.
- Strong drive for results; goal oriented.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members, management, and other departments to achieve common goals and objectives.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written.
- Proficient in using shipping software with knowledge of international shipping preferred.
- A valid driver's license is required.
