OverviewSupervises the Sterile Processing staff in their technical duties in decontamination, high level disinfection (HLD), sterilization, and storage of instrumentation and equipment used in patient care. Follows regulatory standards, manufacturers instructions for use (IFU), and hospital specific policies and standards. Directly supervises technicians on multiple shifts, supporting the delivery of quality reusable patient care items throughout the Children's Mercy enterprise.

- HS diploma or equivalent and 3-5 years experience Experience in OR Sterile Processing or Central Sterile reprocessing
- Certified Registered Central Service Technician
- One of the following: Certified Instrument Specialist, Certified Healthcare Leader, Certified Endoscope Reprocessor required upon hire
- Employees must obtain Certified Instrument Specialist or equivalent within 730 days
- Employees must obtain Certified Healthcare Leader or equivalent within 730 days
- Employees must obtain Certified Endoscope Reprocessor or equivalent within 730 days
- Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) Required Upon Hire
- Certified Instrument Specialist (CIS) or Certified Healthcare Leader (CHL) or Certified Endoscope Reprocesser (CER) within 2 years of hire Required
Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $20.01/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.
