Sterile Processing Department Manager

URGENTLY HIRING

Must have managerial experience in SPD, Surgical Tech, and Materials.

Under minimum supervision, assists the Director of Clinical Services by preparing, maintaining and anticipating instrument and procedural needs for all surgical procedures. This position requires proficient knowledge and skills necessary to carry out delegated tasks associated with the safe and efficient operating room support functions, anticipating the needs of the surgeon and nursing staff to support the patient during the surgical procedures. The Surgical Tech/SPD Manager is responsible for ensuring that instruments needed for surgical procedures are available and will be responsible for inventory control.

- Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology or Armed Services Surgical Technology program

- National Certified Surgical Technologist - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting upon hire or

- National Tech in Surgery - Certified - National Center for Competency Testing upon hire

- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire

- 1 year Clinical operating room experience as a surgical tech.

- High School Diploma or equivalent.

- Previous Sterile Processing experience and previous management experience.

- College degree preferred.

- Related certification within 1 year of employment.

- Works with team members to improve customer satisfaction and maximize results within the department and throughout the Hospital and/or surgery center.
