About You:
Come join our team of summer educators! Virginia Tech Applied Research Corporation (VT-ARC) is seeking a highly motivated STEM Education Intern to support STEM camp coordination and execution. Core responsibilities include customer relationship support, assist with project coordination, and calendar management support.
Duration of internship July 1st, 2024 August 2nd, 2024
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide support for STEM camps throughout the summer.
- Track basic statistics of STEM events and customer service surveys.
- Assist with creating and coordinating meeting materials.
- Positively represent the company to clients by providing empathetic and friendly customer service.
Required Education, Certification, Skills, Capabilities:
- Undergraduate student pursuing a degree.
- Some experience with virtual teleconferencing platforms (Zoom, WebEx, Microsoft Teams).
- Dependability, flexibility, and the ability to respond in a fast-paced environment rapidly and effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Preferred Education, Certifications, Skills, and Capabilities:
- Pursuing a degree in Education or a STEM related field.
- Previous experience supporting students.
Primary Work Location: Work is to be performed onsite in Chantilly, VA.
