Located within the Brooklyn Navy Yard, Steiner Studios is one of the largest studios east of Los Angeles and at full buildout will be over 1.6 million square feet on 60 acres.

The internship program is geared toward students (graduate or undergraduate) with an interest in the following: entertainment industry management, stage management, facilities & property management, and lighting & grip equipment management.
The Steiner Studios Summer Internship Program is a rotational learning and development program that provides interns a well-rounded experience and exposure to 3 different studio operations departments within our company. Duties will include, but not be limited to the following:
- Assist with document preparation, including letters and legal agreements, create corresponding files, and follow the existing document tracking process.
- Assist with space turnovers – participate in walkthroughs to help generate punch lists.
- Assist with special projects (i.e., research, event planning, merchandise management).
- Maintain and update various department reports and databases.
- Exposure to confidential documents and email correspondence.
Duties will include, but not be limited to the following:
- Assist with pulling, packaging, and delivering outgoing lighting & grip packages.
- Assist with the maintenance and organization of the lighting & grip equipment.
- Assist loading & unloading trucks.
- General maintenance and upkeep of rental equipment & warehouse.
Duties will include, but not be limited to the following:
- Assist with the set up/break down of stages and support spaces to ensure client-readiness.
- Assist with loading & unloading stage supplies (tables, chairs, etc.).
- Perform “stage checks” to monitor activity on the stages and support spaces.
- Exposure to different production departments working on the Lot.
- This Program is geared towards rising college sophomores, juniors, seniors, and master's students.
- Must be currently enrolled in an entertainment, media, communications, film, or related field.
- Must be available for the full duration of the Summer Internship program.
- College credit is not required, but we will provide appropriate documentation if needed.
- This internship is in-person and is based on the Steiner Studios Lot in Brooklyn, New York.
- Passion for film and television, with a strong desire to learn and get hands-on experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to exercise discretion and professionalism when exposed to high-profile clients.
- Outstanding people skills.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Capacity to work with minimal supervision.
- Ideal candidates will be hard-working, self-starters who are flexible, creative, results driven and have a positive attitude.
Compensation and Perks:
- $16.00/hour (for a maximum of 40 hours per week).
- Unlimited MetroCard for the 9-week internship program.
- Complimentary membership to the onsite Fitness Center
- Catered lunch each Friday.
Schedule:
- The internship program will start on Monday, June 3rd and end on Friday, August 9th.
- Interns will work Monday – Friday of each week, 8-hours per day.
- Interns will have off the week of July 1st – 5th.
