Job Summary:
LuxUrban Hotel is a young and hungry hotel management company looking to add equally hungry Finance experts to its team. We are hiring highly skilled Director of Finance, Comptroller/Controller, and Accounting experience to join our team. The Finance Team will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, corporate accounting, and financial analysis.
Finance Roles:
Director of Finance (125k+)
Comptroller/Controller ($90k+)
Accountant/Bookkeeper ($67k+)
Duties:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the finance department
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP
- Monitor and manage the company's budget, including forecasting and variance analysis
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-making
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions
- Oversee accounts payable processes and ensure timely payment of invoices
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial service providers
Skills:
- Strong financial management skills with a solid understanding of accounting principles
- Proficiency in balance sheet reconciliation, general ledger reconciliation, and financial report writing
- Experience in corporate accounting or public accounting is preferred
- Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
- Ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
- Proficient in using financial software systems and Microsoft Office Suite
