Form of workSummary: Maintains the reservation book by taking reservations and walk-ins. Greets guests and escorts them to the appropriate table. Assists Manager in preparing venue for service and maintaining the cleanliness and flow of the room
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Must provide courteous and friendly service to all guests and team members.
- Answer the telephone with in 3 rings to be able to book reservations.
- Maintain the reservation book with guest name, phone number, time and amount of guest in each party.
- Maintain the professional appearance of the hostess stand.
- Properly present clean menus to our guests.
- Properly Clean, Disinfect and Inspect all menus, discarding worn ones.
- Monitor the waiting line to determine if there are large parties waiting.
- Supply guests with information on services available at the Hotel/Casino, including all our restaurants.
- Handle initial guest complaints. Inform Manager immediately of any problems or concerns.
- Ensure that all tables are properly set at the start of each shift.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, as they apply to the position
- Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company's guest service culture standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to present self in a professional, pleasant, confident and well-groomed manner.
- Proven experience in a full service restaurant preferred
- Superior guest service skills
- Skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with guests and team members.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English.
- Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
- Verify right to work in the United States
- Be at least 16 years of age
