The Associate Governmental Program Analyst independently performs a variety of complex analytical duties of a State Buyer with an emphasis on Information Technology (IT) requests. Duties include the initial review of a purchase, classifying and planning the purchase, determining the appropriate acquisition method, receiving approvals necessary by state purchasing policies and procedures, and the creation and completion of the Purchase Orders. The State Buyer acts as a liaison with the IT Branch Consulting and Analysis group and provides procedural guidance in areas related to purchasing. This position is the expert level classification of EDD buying.
This position is headquartered in Sacramento (Central Office) location and may be eligible for telework under EDD's telework policy. California Government Code Section 14200 requires employees to reside in California to telecommute. Employees are required to report to their headquarters office, as needed. Travel expenses to and from the assigned headquarters are the responsibility of the employee.

Statement of Qualifications Requirements

    Background Investigation Requirement
