- The Supervisor is the designated "Program Contact" and is considered the principal staff person for programmatic administration of the Start Early and MIECHV-PAT Programs and will serve as the training and database contact. Supervisor manages and supervises PAT home visiting program, and Mental Health Consultant contract, including conducting staff supervision, contractual compliance, records management, and integration with the other service programs in the Center. Manage both programs to ensure that all outcomes are achieved and that the programs meet the APR requirements and PAT Blue Ribbon status.
- To provide bi-monthly reflective supervision to Parent Educators and document all supervision sessions.
- Ensure that HV rates are kept above 80% for all four quarters by calculating rates monthly in supervision with each Parent Educator (PE).
- Ensure that PE maintains a caseload of required number of participants at any given time when children are six months and younger.
- New staff members are trained according to the requirements of PAT guidelines.
- Ensure that a cultural sensitivity review is conducted every other year.
- Maintain statistical information system. Work with center coordinators to ensure appropriate records for the program are up-to-date and accurate.
- Supervise the Group Facilitator, Parent Educators, and other volunteers working in the program.
- Act as contact for community Coordinated Intake system for referrals coming into the agency
- Develop relationships with hospitals and local community agencies to ensure a smooth influx of referrals.
- Ensure that PE refers participants to Infant Mental Health Specialist as needed and follow-up with Infant Mental Health Specialist through case staffing and individual consultation.
- Increase the number of children with up-to-date immunizations to a minimum of 90% enrolled at any time during the program year.
- Ensure that the number of development screenings conducted on time increases to a minimum of 90% of children enrolled.
- Ensure that all enrolled participants are given information on filing grievances and notified that all employees are mandated reporters.
- Ensure that all staff reference information is kept in a safe place and can be reviewed by a credential panel at any time.
- Conduct peer file review Monthly.
- Conduct observation of Parent Educators in the field as needed.
- Attend assigned community meetings.
- Work on special projects, events, and other activities with the leadership team.
- Observe PE interactions with families by observing their home visits at least twice yearly.
- Serve as an Alternate for PE when direct service staff is out sick, is on vacation, or resigns from the agency, including carrying a temporary caseload.
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.
- At least one to two years of supervisory experience, an understanding of how to facilitate parenting groups, and with high energy level, personal initiative, and work ethic.
- Well-developed knowledge base in Child Development and will lead the agency in this aspect of its work.
- Knowledge of parent/child development and family dynamics.
- Bilingual (Spanish) Plus.
- Excellent supervisory and effective strength-based leadership skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with direct services staff, participants, and colleagues.
- Ability to lead staff to work with families in a strength-based manner, focusing on parent/child interaction, including but not limited to floor play, understanding babies' cues, temperament, and development.
- Understand the parallel process related to leadership, direct service staff, and participants.
This is a full-time exempt position
