Job description

We are seeking a Staffing Coordinator / Recruiter with exceptional organizational and leadership abilities, as well as a keen attention to detail. The Staffing Coordinator / Recruiter should be an expert communicator and possess strong decision-making skills. An individual with exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills to join our team as a Staffing Coordinator / Recruiter in our non-skilled home care agency.

Key Responsibilities Staffing Coordinator / Recruiter:

  • Scheduling and Coordination: Create and manage consumer care schedules, ensuring appropriate coverage and alignment with consumer preferences. Coordinate with caregivers to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Identify Agency employee requirements and formulate a comprehensive staffing strategy.
  • Collaborate with the HR department to address staffing needs for new employees.
  • Evaluate staffing needs, generate daily staffing reports, monitor employee performance, and submit weekly reports to management.
  • Identify staffing shortfalls and promptly report job vacancies and scheduling issues to human resources and the Director.
  • Verify staff details and working hours to guarantee accurate coverage for all consumers.
  • Design and implement staffing solutions in compliance with legal regulations and Agency procedures.
  • Audit timesheets on an ongoing basis
  • Prepare documents in advance for State audits
  • Competent with the use of staffing software
  • Treat consumers with empathy and respect and conduct oneself in a professional manner.
  • Comply with agency guidelines and Delaware State home care laws and regulations.
  • Assist employees in understanding their duties, responsibilities, and the Agency's operating procedures and rules.
  • Ability to cover consumer as needed when there is staffing shortage.
  • Work under the direction of a supervisor and team lead

Education/Training/Experience:

  • Associate degree preferred but not required; Minimum of High School diploma is a must; additional relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Previous experience as a Staffing Coordinator is mandatory, preferably in healthcare, mental health, and/or domiciliary care.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a staffing.
  • A minimum of one year of home care supervisory experience.
  • Proficiency in conflict resolution and the ability to find effective solutions.
  • Demonstrates a compassionate and kind demeanor.
  • Strong multitasking and task prioritization abilities.
  • Capable of making decisive decisions while maintaining discretion.
  • Possesses superior organizational and interpersonal skills.
