Job Purpose:
Laptop Mag is the premiere publication focused on everything mobile computing, from laptops and 2-in-1s to Chromebooks and tablets. We have a dynamic team of editors and writers focused on helping consumers figure out what to buy and how to get the most out of their systems and software. We review the biggest new products from all of the top companies (including Apple, Dell, Lenovo and HP), execute key face-offs and consistently update our top picks across several categories. Laptop Mag also creates special reports throughout the year, including Best and Worst Brands and Tech Support Showdown, which have become hallmarks for the brand. We meet daily to set priorities and work closely together throughout the day to deliver the best content in a timely fashion.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Create content for Laptop Mag as directed by the editor, and across several content types (news, tutorials, reviews, features, buying guides) in a timely fashion
  • Integration of ecommerce and SEO best practices
  • Develop industry contacts that will yield stories in the future
  • Understand your key performance indicators, and ensure that you are delivering on them
  • Identify opportunities to fill content gaps that enable the brand to serve its audience better
  • Work closely with commercial teams to help deliver our commitments to our advertisers

  • Proven ability to write high quality, engaging, relevant content
  • Proven ability to deliver high volumes of content at pace and work well under pressure
  • Ability to work as part of a wider team
  • Good communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment while collaborating well with others

Please note, the salary range for this position is $60,000 - $65,000.
** This is a position covered under a collective bargaining agreement between Future US, Inc. and the Writers Guild of America East. **
