Travel Required: Same Day travel from Austin to San Antonio for meetings as needed.
Experience: 5 years pf experience with Software engineering, testing infrastructure, or related. Requires experience with the following Data Analytics technologies MicroStrategy, Tableau, SSRS, Teradata, SQL Server, and AWS.
Job duties: Work with other engineers on engineering techniques, processes, and new technologies. Make recommendations for overall application system design, architecture, security, scalability, reliability, and performance. Support the build and deployment pipeline and diagnose and solve production support issues. Identify, scope, and architect solutions for new features while considering technology alternatives and all impacts and tradeoffs. Evaluate and incorporate new technologies into the team’s architecture. Introduce new technologies that have a Return on Investment (ROI) or influence. Improve the cloud infrastructure that powers our high performance, consumer-scale site and mobile apps. Lead large initiatives within the team, including technical design delivery of complex features across multiple systems as the company improves the customer and Partner user experiences. Recommend changes to processes and tools at the group or department level based on industry standards, patterns, and practices. Influence others in technical decision-making and technology adoption within their domain. Diagnose and troubleshoot complex issues. Develop technical roadmaps and lead engineers across one or more squads to deliver initiatives. Grow Digital Engineering by driving execution of organization-wide activities. Identify ways to improve codebases, find solutions to complex problems, and propose paths forward to drive outcomes. Create documentation and training related to technology stacks and standards. Provide end-to-end support to applications, operating with minimal direction to drive large-scale initiatives.
