Staff Software Engineer

We are seeking a high-level IC Software Engineer who will be responsible for architecting, designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining software. This person will be an expert technologist with experience in highly scalable, highly available software.

Our team works on Fanatics ID which is our Identity Provider. We aim to make it as easy as possible for our users to log in to any Fanatics property and have their profile accessible to streamline their experiences. We want our users to trust that we will secure their information and protect them against malicious actors. This role will be crucial in helping define, deliver, and operate our authentication services.

This role is full stack (80/20 ish) primarily working on the backend in Go, with some frontend (typescript), heavily focused on APIs, distributed systems, and database design, at a large enterprise scale.

Required Qualfications:

• 8+ years of backend software development experience
• Strong working experience with Golang
• Experience with some front end including any JavaScript, typescript, or react
• Experience working in a cloud environment (AWS preferred)
• Experience in Infrastructure as code (Terraform preferred)
• Experience in Databases/data modeling
• Must have knowledge of container platforms like Docker
• Experience with Git or a similar distributed version control system
• Ability to design and build API specs
• Possess technical aptitude and a desire to learn new technologies
• Capable of taking ownership of and accountability for deliverables
• Able to work in a collaborative environment to support rapid development and delivery of results

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with access standards (OAuth, OpenID and/or SAML)

$180,000 - $220,000 a year
