EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or similar; MS preferred.
EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years of direct industry software experience building applications for data acquisistion, scheduling, workflow management or similar
- Proven track record of software development in C# and or Java, SQL Database design of medium to large databases.
- Strong analytical acumen. Strong team spirit, extremely good with verbal and written communications in English.
- Willingness and ability for international and domestic travel (up to 15%).
- Lab experience with LC-MS workflows, software and systems is helpful.
- Experience with distributed/networked systems and instrument control, either from a technical or a usage perspective, would be a plus.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
- Strong and demonstrable software design, Object oriented practices, sharp and hands on coding skills in various languages like C#/Java, C++, Python. Understanding of distributed software, ideally in scientific environments.
- Very good knowledge of Web enabled and Cloud hosted software technology.
- Solid understanding of Azure DevOps source management, Confluence for knowledge sharing, Office tools.
- Proficiency in English as a written and spoken language; communication with clarity and precision with team members, leadership and peers
- Knowledge of web development languages like Javascript/Typescript, HTML, CSS and frameworks like Vue, React or similar is greatly helpful.
