Staff RN Med/Tele/Stoke/Cardiac

Job Description: Registered Nurse – Med/Tele/Stroke/Cardiac

Shift/Hours:

• PM: 3pm-11pm

• Nights: 11pm-7am

·        Evening and night rotation available too.

Holiday/Weekend Requirement:

• Weekends: Saturday – Sunday for all shifts (every other weekend)

·        Holiday: Must work one eve and one day between Christmas and New Year’s. For Thanksgiving, must work either the day of Thanksgiving or the day after Thanksgiving.

Internal Pay Scale: Based on years of experience. Will discuss this in initial phone call!

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to all patients in the department

• Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care

• Maintain regulatory compliance in individual practice

• Assume responsibility, accountability, and authority for outcomes of nursing care

• Guide and direct assigned unlicensed nursing personnel in delivering patient care

• Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience

Must Haves:

Experience: One year of inpatient care

Certification: BLS is required prior to the start date.

Education: ASN

Preferences:

Experience: cardiac and/or stroke experience.

Unit details:

• 29 Beds

• Nurse to patient ratio: 1:5 Day, 1:6 overnight

• Patient Pop: Cardiac, Stroke, and Med/Surg population
