What you'll do as a Staff Pharmacist
- Utilize clinical knowledge to analyze medication profiles and new medication orders for appropriateness of therapy, dose, and potential interactions before dispensing to residents of long-term care facilities.
- Supervise dispensing of medication orders in compliance with State and Federal regulations, as well as best practice standards.
- Comply with all applicable company policies, procedures, and patient protocols. Comply with HIPAA and all current government regulations and professional standards respecting patient care.
- Participate in educational and professional programs and/or review professional literature on an ongoing basis to maintain knowledge and competency in current and developing techniques, professional standards, and the services offered by Forum.
- Assist pharmacy managers and lead pharmacy technicians in managing daily workflow of the pharmacy and supervising technician activity.
- Work in a fast-paced 24/7/365 institutional pharmacy environment.
What we need
- Bachelors or Doctorate degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
- Current unencumbered license as a Registered Pharmacist in the pharmacy's state of practice.
- Previous experience in long-term care or hospital pharmacy preferred.
- IV experience preferred. If no experience in IV preparation/dispensing, must be able to learn and demonstrate competency.
- Excellent math, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills required.
