Staff Pharmacist - Part Time

As a Part Time, nonexemptCPS Solutions, LLC Staff Pharmacistat Heritage Oaks Hospital, you will fill orders with accuracy; check technician-prepared products before release; maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances; enter orders and patient information with accuracy; aid in the training of new staff; update the Director about the daily activities of the pharmacy; and aid the Director in maintaining the pharmacy.
Schedule: This Part Time, nonexempt position will work up to 29 hours/week during regular pharmacy hours, Monday-Friday, 6:30am-7:00pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 8:00am-1:00pm, at Heritage Oaks Hospital or the Patient Enrichment Center (aka the HOPE Center).
Pay Range: $62-$72/hour based on experience.
About the Facility: Heritage Oaks Hospital is a leader in psychiatric and addiction treatment. Located in Sacramento, the hospital offers 125 inpatient beds in a beautiful, state-of-the art facility. CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.
About the Pharmacy: The pharmacy utilizes HCS EMR and automated dispensing cabinets. Pharmacy hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 6:30am-7:00pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 8:00am-1:00pm.
Required Qualifications:
- Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy; PharmD preferred
- Current California Pharmacist license in good standing.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a pharmacist in a hospital setting that includes unit dosing and using automated dispensing cabinets.
- Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns
- Ability to work cooperatively with other members of CPS and hospital and pharmacy staff
- Demonstrated accuracy and timeliness in a work setting
- Experience using computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and pharmacy information systems
- Effective communications skills; verbal and written
Hospital Requirements (may be required):
- (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
- (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
- Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving immunity
- Hep B3 Series (or declination)
- TDaP Titer proving immunity
- Physical examination within one week of employment
- (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st - April 30th
- COVID-Full Vaccine (required)
