Staff Pharmacist Evening Shift

Star Long Term Care Pharmacy is a closed door pharmacy located in VAN NUYS, We currently service Assisted living’s, Skilled nursing facilities, as well as Behavioral health group homes and are continuing to expand. We are seeking a Staff Pharmacist to join our team both Part time and Full time positions.
We have varying shifts available and are open from 8:00Am to 2AM PM Monday-Friday and Saturday and Sunday.
We are looking for a Pharmacist with a flexible schedule and whom is eager to work in a small family environment. We offer competitive wages as well as benefits.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the accurate preparation of medications for final dispensing to the patient, including order entry, filling, and toting.
• Review filled blister cards and unit dose strips to ensure prescriptions are filled correctly.
• Verify the legality and pharmaceutical feasibility of dispensing a drug based on patients' allergies, drug interactions, frequency of refills, etc.
• Interpret prescription orders and exercise professional judgment in determining whether to dispense a particular prescription.
• Transfer prescriptions to and from other pharmacies as needed.
• Answer questions from patients, doctors, nurses, etc.
• Oversee technicians in Compounding IV's.
• Dose IV medications per patient specific data.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour

Education:

• Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

• Pharmacy residency: 3 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• Registered Pharmacist (Required)
• Licensed Pharmacist (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

• Van Nuys, CA 91406: Relocate before starting work (Required)
