- Position: Staff Nurse, Post Anesthesia Care Unit
- Location: Skokie, IL
- Full Time, 40 hours/week
- Hours: Rotating shifts with varying start times from 8:00AM to 12:00PM; 4 – 9-hour shifts; On-call requirements – 4-6 weeknight call shifts and 3-4 weekend call shifts over a 6-week schedule. Call shifts vary based on unit needs
- Required Travel: To other NorthShore sites as needed
What you will need:
- License: Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required
- Education: Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required; BSN strongly preferred
- Certification: BLS/CPR, ACLS Certification for the Healthcare Provider required
- Experience: PACU or Critical Care experience, or experience with post-surgical patients in an inpatient unit required
What you will do:
- Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for a patient population on a specific unit
- Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care
- Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care
- Communicate and collaborate with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care
- Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience
