Position Summary:
A clinical competent Registered Nurse who delivers patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. As a Cardiac Electrophysiology Lab Nurse, you will be responsible to assist in the management of patients undergoing EP studies, 3D mapping, RF and cryo ablations, implantable devices such as pacemakers and cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), along with other cardiac procedures such as TEE, tilt table test, and cardioversions.
Responsibilities:
- RN will work closely with physicians and the anesthesia team to provide professional nursing care for all patients.
- Intra-procedure roles include circulator, administer conscious sedation, documenting/monitoring, and scrub.
- Completes nursing assessment, documents findings in patient records and notifies physician of abnormal findings.
- Establishes a care plan.
- Performs nursing procedures and treatments as directed by physician in the treatment and management of patient care.
- Evaluates, initiates, and maintains standards of care consistent with organizational policies
Requirements:
- Current R.N. licensure for Ohio
- Valid BLS certification
- ACLS certified
- 1-2 years recent RN experience in EP lab.
- Must be comfortable treating acutely ill patients with hemodynamic and electrical instability.
