ENSCO, Inc. is currently seeking Staff Cybersecurity Engineer to support Systems Engineering for Launch Enterprise Systems Engineering and Integration for the Western Range.
The highly qualified will be responsible for assisting with cybersecurity efforts for the Launch and Test Range Systems (LTRS) and supporting the Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) teams at Vandenberg Space Force Base.
The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of all aspects of Cyber Security across the program portfolio with the ability to align existing skill sets toward the appropriate activities including, but not limited to, Assessment and Authorization, Cybersecurity Engineering, Cloud CyberSecurity Engineering, system configuration and hardening, etc.
As a senior member of the range cybersecurity team, the Staff Cybersecurity Engineer will play a critical role in driving the success of the team. They will support all phases from conceptual development to pre-acquisition engineering, evaluating proposed designs, and assist with oversight of efforts through development, integration, and operations.
The Staff Cybersecurity Engineer will be a key interface to the local Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) as well as Government Project managers.
Duties will include:
• Perform assessments of systems and networks within the networking environment or enclave and identify where those systems and networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy.
• Passive evaluations such as compliance audits and active evaluations such as vulnerability assessments.
• Establishing strict program control processes to ensure mitigation of risks and support obtaining certification and accreditation of systems.
• Support of process, analysis, coordination, security certification test, security documentation, as well as investigations, software research, hardware introduction and release, emerging technology research inspections and periodic audits.
• Assist in the implementation of the required government policy (i.e., NISPOM, NIST 800, JSIG), make recommendations on process tailoring, participate in and document process activities.
• Perform analyses to validate established security requirements and to recommend additional security requirements and safeguards.
• Support the formal Security Test and Evaluation required by each government accrediting authority through pre-test preparations, participation in the tests, analysis of the results and preparation of required reports.
• Document the results of assessment and authorization activities and technical or coordination activity and prepare the system Security Plans and update the Plan of Actions and Milestones.
• Periodically conduct a complete review of each system's audits and monitor corrective actions until all actions are closed.
• Perform Information Systems Security Engineering of system architectures, requirements analysis and decomposition, including system performance test and verification as it pertains to DoDI 8500 Series and more specifically DoDI 8500.2(Risk Management Framework).
Qualifications Desired
- Master's Degree in Systems Engineering Field, Software Engineering, Computer Science or demonstrated experience.
- Extensive experience with the National Space Launch domain.
- Knowledge and background with architecture, systems and subsystem requirements, systems engineering processes, and development and maintenance of CONOPS.
- Experience supporting a Cybersecurity project engineering team.
- Risk Management framework NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, IEC 62443, or NERC-CIP.
- Background in Information Security Test Assessment/Information Security Test & Evaluation.
- Information Assurance Technical Framework (IATF).
- eMASS certification and accreditation tool expertise.
- DOD 8140 IAT/IAM Level III. Cybersecurity Certifications including CISSP, C CISO, CEH, SANS, etc.
- Current DOD TS or TS/SCI security clearance.

Qualifications Required (Skills)
- Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering Field, Software Engineering, Computer Science, and/or equivalent with 7 years of experience.
-Demonstrated understanding and experience with DoD Cyber Security policy and instructions related to RMF.
- Understanding of the system certification process.
- Experience with information assurance risk assessments.
- DOD 8140 IAT/IAM Level II (Security+, CCNA-Security, CYSA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, SSCP) or higher.
- Understanding of information security principles, DoD STIGs, and A&A processes for systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- MUST HAVE A CURRENT SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE AND BE ABLE TO OBTAIN A TS/SCI CLEARANCE, FOR WHICH YOU MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN.
