Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience architecting or developing in cloud computing or equivalent experience in a customer-facing role.
- Experience in system design or a programming language (e.g., Java, C++, Python, etc.).
- Experience with AI/ML engineering, defining business use cases, selecting algorithms, training models, performance, deploying solutions, and streamlining the development process for easy use by customers and internal teams.
- Experience in communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Experience in software development tools, methodologies, coding, and application design.
Preferred qualifications:
- 5 years of experience working cross-functionally in an integrated team composed of both technical and non-technical members.
- 3 years of experience in a sales organization or public procurement organization.
- Experience with distributed systems.
- Experience in designing and delivering applications on Cloud platforms.
- Experience designing and deploying Machine Learning (ML) frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, JAX, Spark ML, etc.).
- Experience with CI/CD solutions and automation with IaC (e.g., using terraform).

As a Cloud Solutions Architect on the Google Public Sector team, you'll drive the development of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) prototypes in collaboration with customers and internal teams. In this role, you will translate experiments into scalable solutions for the Google Public Sector sales team. You’ll work cross-functionally with internal partners to build prototypes that will form the basis for broader market sales plays, encompassing AI/ML, Big Data Analytics, and Cloud Infrastructure.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $171,000-$257,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Responsibilities
- Lead customer-facing solution workshops to gather requirements that deliver roadmap and prototype use cases on GCP.
- Scope and develop full-stack prototypes leveraging the GCP portfolio that solve a wide set of problems.
- Deliver the full-stack prototypes to partner with aligned program managers.
- Develop cross-platform technologies to be incorporated into subscription agreements, and use the guiding principles of simplicity, repeatability, and consumability.
