A Non-Profit Public Interest Law Firm is actively seeking two dynamic full-time Staff Attorneys to represent clients for DAP. This includes administrative proceedings and hearings before the Social Security Administration. The positions are based in our Utica, NY office and report to the Managing Attorney.
Essential Job Functions:
The Staff Attorney also will provide comprehensive legal services, including, but not limited to, advice, negotiation, and administrative advocacy. The Staff Attorney will carry a substantial caseload. This position requires that the Staff Attorney comply with all Legal Services Corporation (LSC) regulations, LASMNY policies and procedures, and grant-based reporting requirements.
Job Qualifications:
The successful candidate(s) must be admitted to the New York State (NYS) Bar. Law Graduates with strong writing backgrounds, pending admission to the NYS Bar, may be considered. Three to five years of legal experience preferred. The candidate will demonstrate excellent written and verbal advocacy, legal research, problem solving and organizational skills. Ability to work independently, efficiently and collaboratively with individuals both within and outside LASMNY. Bilingual or multilingual a plus.
