EAC Network, a not-for-profit social service agency that empowers, assists, and cares forover 62,888 people in need through 100 programs across Long Island and NYC, seeks a Teacher (Attorney) to work part time for its ERASE (Education Rehabilitation and Support Enforcement) program.
The Teacher (Attorney) position is a non-exempt position paying $50 per hour. The position is part time up to 3 hours per month.The office is located in Ronkonkoma, NY and the role reports to the Program Director.
Primary Purpose of Job:
To provide instructional services to the clients of the ERASE (Education Rehabilitation and Support Enforcement) program.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct three-hour lecture explaining legal rights and responsibilities to non-custodial parents.
- Prepare and present appropriate handouts to respondents to help guide them through the child support system.
- Monitor and report inappropriate classroom behavior and pertinent incidents to Supervision.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required:
- Jurist Doctorate required.
- Minimum of two years experience in the legal services field required.
