We are currently looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team. This position offers the flexibility of working remotely or from our San Juan office.

Job Summary:
As a Staff Accountant at Advanti Global Trading Corp, you will play a crucial role in managing our financial records, including transactions, payroll, reconciliations, and financial reporting. This position requires a high level of accuracy, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain financial records, including ledgers, journals, and invoices
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities, including reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts, coordination and completion of annual audits, and reviewing financial reports/support as necessary
• Analyze and report on financial status including income statement variances, communicating financial results to management, budget preparation, and analysis
• Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with GAAP principles
• Liaise with our financial manager and accounting team to improve financial procedures

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Proven experience as a staff accountant or relevant role in accounting
• Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
• Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
• Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Excel, accounting software, and databases
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• CPA or CMA preferred but not required
