Staff Accountant General Responsibilities:
Work on accounts payable function in our day-to-day operations and monthly close to ensure accurate and timely payments.
Perform various complex account analysis and reconciliations.
Coordinates, maintains, and improves company Accounts Payable Automation integration with our existing ERP system.
Administer Corporate Credit Card and Expense Report programs using Concur.
Responsible for vendor inquiries and vendor statement reconciliations.
Research and resolve discrepancies.
Assist with the month end closing process, conducting research and make correction journal entries for account discrepancies.
Complete bank account reconciliation.
Add new vendors and assist vendors with questions on past due invoices.
Demonstrates effective communication and problem-solving skills.
Work closely with the General Accounting Manager to develop, document, implement and maintain systems, procedures, policies and controls.
Provide backup for co-workers in the finance department.
Special projects as assigned.
Staff Accountant Additional Duties:
Identify opportunities to improve productivity through improved processes, cost reduction opportunities, etc.
Assume other special activities as may be necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of this position.
Education/Experience Required:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting preferred
1-3 years experience in accounting department
Staff Accountant Background Profile:
Possess strong mathematical and analytical skills and be able to perform detail work with a high degree of accuracy.
Ability to identify and define problem areas and to be able to coordinate with others to determine resolutions.
Ability to interface with JDE and PC software utilized in the department.
Manage and prioritize multiple tasks/projects.
Possess sound judgment and decision-making skills.
Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently.
Read, write and understand English proficiently.
